Latham, N.Y.-headquartered Plug Power Inc. has launched a 30 kW hydrogen fuel cell engine, the newest commercial product from the company’s ProGen suite of products.
The modular, pre-engineered ProGen engines allow OEMs to convert commercial fleet vehicles to zero-emission powertrains and reduce time to market.
Deliveries of the first commercial orders for the product are scheduled in July for European and Asian on-road e-mobility applications. It it suited for delivery vans and light- or medium-duty cargo box trucks, says Plug Power.
“We’re excited to start shipping this higher-capacity engine to our customers around the world, allowing them to efficiently power a range of vehicles and move to the reality of on-road applications powered by hydrogen,” states Andy Marsh, CEO of Plug Power.
