Nopetro Building Natural Gas Fueling Station For School District Fleet

Nopetro, a company that builds and operates compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling stations, says it has broken ground in Tallahassee, Fla., on the first of a network of fueling sites the company has planned for the region.

The station will provide a natural gas fueling resource for the Leon County school district's fleet, as well as for the public. The school district will receive royalty payments from fuel sales to the private sector, Nopetro says.

‘Leon County, Florida, is the anchoring element in Nopetro's plan to build a network of natural gas fueling stations to enable big trucks and municipal vehicles to switch to natural gas at a cost savings of at least 25 percent,’ says Jorge Herrera, CEO of Nopetro.
