According to a recent article published at newsok.com, the online edition of daily newspaper The Oklahoman, one company that specializes in performing compressed natural gas (CNG) conversions has experienced 500% growth in the past year, suggesting that the market for natural gas vehicles is quickly ballooning.
CNG Interstate, which began operations in Utah in 2007, established a location in Edmond, Okla., a little more than a year ago. According to the article, a site in Tulsa is being planned for this fall, and a further expansion – possibly into Oklahoma City – is likely for 2013.
Right now, the company is targeting CNG bi-fuel conversions for pickup trucks.
