Green Automotive Co. subsidiary Newport Coach Works Inc. has signed a distribution agreement with Don Brown Bus Sales Inc. for the manufacturing of buses over a two-year period beginning this month.
Newport Coach Works will provide both diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) buses in the 12,500 lb. to 33,000 lb. GVW range. The company will begin delivering units to Don Brown Bus Sales in the spring of 2013.
‘With a number of exciting new developments in the pipeline, both in terms of cleaner drivetrain technology and bus designs and features, I expect strong sales growth going forward,’ says Carter Read, president of Newport Coach Works.
