New Terminal Offering Biodiesel for Transportation Markets in the Northeast

Renewable Energy Group Inc. (REG), a biodiesel producer and marketer, says it has entered into an agreement to market biodiesel at Dutch Hill Terminals' Clifton, N.J., site.

‘This terminal position will give us additional capacity to serve the existing markets in the Northeast and prepare for potential growth moving into 2014,’ says Gary Haer, REG's vice president of sales and marketing. ‘As the region increases its consumption of biodiesel in transportation fuel and Bioheat [heating oil blended with biodiesel], REG will continue to provide a reliable source of high-quality, clean-burning, advanced biofuel.’

REG's Clifton terminal is located at 568 Paulison, where the company will offer different biodiesel blends for transportation fuel on a seasonal basis. REG has five other terminal locations in the Northeast, including in New Hyde Park, Port Chester, Ontario and Brookhaven in New York.

The company operates 257 million gallons of annual production capacity at biorefineries in the U.S. REG's fuel, which is marketed under the REG-9000 brand, is derived from natural fats, oils and greases.
