New Sparq CNG Station Coming to Colorado

Sparq Natural Gas will break ground on a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Eaton, Colo., at the Agfinity Convenience Store. This will be the third Sparq Natural Gas station in Colorado when it opens and the seventh public-access CNG station in Weld County.

The project represents Sparq’s third groundbreaking ceremony in the last 18 months in its effort to create a statewide network of CNG fueling availability.

Key project stakeholders will gather to introduce the public to the creation of a more vibrant Highway 85 “CNG Corridor.” The CNG Corridor is located in the heart of oil and natural gas development and commercial agriculture, bringing added convenience to CNG motorists across the state, according to Sparq. In December 2015, Sparq opened a CNG station in Trinidad, Colo.

The new station, which is Class 8 heavy-duty accessible, will feature a 200 hp GE compressor; two high-flow, heavy-duty CNG nozzles; and two light-duty CNG nozzles. The station will accept all major credit cards and fleet cards.
