dHybrid Systems, a company that specializes in designing and producing compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for a range of vehicle applications, has opened a new 50,000 square-foot manufacturing and assembly facility.
Located at 1600 S. 4650 W. in Salt Lake City, Utah, the new plant has the capacity to produce 600 CNG systems monthly, according to the company.
‘We chose Salt Lake City as the location for our second facility for the many advantages it provides us,’ says Brian Pettersen, CEO of dHybrid. ‘The city offers us excellent logistics and an educated workforce, to name two.’
Trevor Milton, the company's OEM account manager, notes that the majority of dHybrid's vendors are located in the immediate area, enabling the firm to quickly source the materials it requires in order to manufacture systems and, in turn, speeding delivery time to fleet customers and truck OEMs.
dHybrid also maintains operations in Las Vegas. The company supplies a variety of CNG system sizes and configurations, from an 18 DGE top-of-cab platform to its new 145 DGE back-of-cab system, the Model 206.
