Carolina Cat, a unit of Carolina Tractor that works on various types of commercial vehicles, has joined the Alliance AutoGas network as an installation partner serving fleets in western North Carolina.
The company will handle propane autogas vehicle conversions using the bi-fuel Prins VSI autogas system. Alliance AutoGas is the exclusive U.S. distributor of this Prins technology.
‘Switching to autogas has an extremely low overhead cost compared to other alternative fuels – and that goes for both conversions and installing a fuel station,’ says Kim Misenar, general service manager of Carolina Cat.
Carolina Cat has five vehicle service shops in North Carolina, including in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Monroe and Statesville. All these locations have mobile service vehicles that are equipped to install and service propane vehicles at customers' sites.
