St. Louis-based Spire Natural Gas Fueling Solutions and Mainstay Fuel Technologies Inc. are now teaming up to combine Spire’s premier compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station offerings with Mainstay’s CNG vehicle fuel system expertise.

The two companies made the announcement today at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo.

“Customers can count on Spire and Mainstay for a seamless transition to compressed natural gas fueling,” says Peter Stansky, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Spire. “With this partnership, we will provide customized CNG vehicle and fueling station solutions tailored to each fleet’s unique needs, with competitive pricing both on the road and at the pump.”

According to the announcement, the combined efforts will capitalize on Mainstay and Spire’s integrated product and service offerings while complementing each company’s current strategies and operations, which will remain independent.

“This joint effort enhances the ability of both our companies to be competitive in the marketplace, and we appreciate Spire’s commitment to Mainstay and CNG as a transportation fuel for the future,” says Rod Grandy, Mainstay’s CEO.
