The Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority (MMVTA), which provides public transportation to several communities in Pennsylvania, is replacing eight of its buses with ones powered by natural gas.
According to a TribLive report, the authority is buying the compressed natural gas buses for about $3.6 million using mostly federal and state funding and expects to have them in service by year's end.
Furthermore, under a large program headed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, a public natural gas fueling station is slated to be built at the MMVTA's facility in Dora.
