Medium-Duty Natural Gas Vehicles Make Debut for Otto

0

Otto Environmental Systems North America Inc., a company that focuses on providing products and services for the solid waste industry, has begun deployment of natural gas vehicles with the purchase of its first compressed natural gas (CNG) truck.

The company acquired a new Isuzu NPR 18-foot, medium-duty truck that was converted to run on CNG. This vehicle will operate out of Otto Container Management LLC's Augusta, Ga., center. The City of Augusta operates a natural gas refueling station, and this facility will provide Otto access to CNG fuel.

Otto has also ordered four additional NGVs that will be used in the company's territory in Moreno Valley in California. These model-year 2013 JAC 22-foot medium-duty trucks will feature CNG conversions from Greenkraft Inc. and access fuel at a CNG station operated by Waste Management.

Otto's new NGVs will service operations such as container delivery and removal from residences, curbside container maintenance, route audits and container re-branding.
