Love’s Planning CNG Facilities in Arizona, New Mexico

Love's Travel Stops says it is developing compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling infrastructure along the Interstate 40 corridor, with two new facilities in Albuquerque, N.M., and Williams, Ariz.

Seaboard Foods – a food producer and distributor that is increasing the size of its heavy-duty natural gas vehicle fleet – will be the anchor customer for these two Love's sites. The company is rolling out more than 40 Kenworth Class 8 CNG trucks that are equipped with the 11.9-liter Cummins Westport ISX12 G engine. Seaboard's partnership with Love's will expand both companies' CNG fueling footprint.

‘With our growing fast-fill CNG network, Love's will be able to offer customers convenient accessibility from Oklahoma City to the West Coast because of this partnership,’ says Bill Cashmareck, general manager of natural gas at Love's.

The company says the Albuquerque and Williams facilities will be the first public-access travel stops along the nearly 1,000-mile stretch of I-40 between Amarillo, Texas, and Barstow, Calif., to offer CNG.
