Kwik Trip Inc., one of the largest convenience store chains in the Midwest, has opened its 10th compressed natural gas (CNG) station, located in Appleton, Wis.
The facility features two fast-fill dispensers with CNG nozzles that are suitable for automobile and transit-vehicle refueling. The station, located 4735 Converters Dr., joins six other Kwik Trip CNG sites in Wisconsin and three in Minnesota. Kwik Trip is also working on building liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling capability at locations between Mineapolis/St. Paul and Chicago.
More CNG refueling sites in Wisconsin and Minnesota are scheduled to open this year, along with a facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The price of CNG at the new Appleton station is $1.79/GGE. Kwik Trip notes.
