Major Midwest-based convenience store operator Kwik Trip Inc. has debuted compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling sites at locations in Eagan, Minn., and De Pere, Wis.
The commissioning of these two CNG facilities brings the company's total number of natural gas refueling stations to 22. At least three more – in Waterloo, Iowa; Wausau, Wis.; and Menomonie, Wis. – are coming online in the next few months, and Kwik Trip is planning on up to 15 new CNG locations becoming operational by the end of 2014.
The new facilities feature redundant compression systems from ANGI Energy Systems and on-site CNG storage, also from ANGI. Kraus/Gilbarco CNG dispensers are also on site.
Kwik Trip notes that the retail price of CNG at its stations ranges from $1.59/GGE to $1.89/GGE.
