Officials in Garfield County, Colo., have decided to invest funds toward bringing a compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station to Glenwood Springs or a nearby area.
According to a report in the Post Independent, the City of Glenwood Springs is pitching in $10,000, and the county is adding another $90,000. This money will be offered as a direct incentive for a fueling partner to work with the city and county on a new CNG site. The city plans on sending out a request for proposals soon.
