GAS, Powertrain Integration Link Up To Drive Alternative Fuel Offerings

0

Green Alternative Systems (GAS), a company focused on providing compressed natural gas (CNG) and other alternative fuel systems for commercial vehicles, is partnering with engine and engine component firm Powertrain Integration to provide OEM-certified systems.

Under the partnership, GAS will provide fuel delivery system chassis integration, and Powertrain Integration will supply the engineering, calibrations, fuel system engine hardware and OEM engine. The partnership will allow GAS and Powertrain Integration to provide a complete alternate fuel offering for the MT-45 and MT-55 platforms from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp.

Powertrain Integration notes that it is working on a new 8.0-liter, gaseous-prep engine that is slated to be released in the first quarter of 2013.
