Appleton, Wis.-based U.S. Oil and food distribution company Delco Foods have partnered to build a new GAIN Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Indianapolis.
The new GAIN station – to be located at 8775 Zionsville Rd., which is minutes away from the Delco Foods distribution facility – will supply CNG to Delco's fleets, which are currently being converted to the alternative fuel.
The station, which will be completed in November, will be open for use by other carriers and the general public.
Delco Foods ships its products throughout the Midwest out of its Indianapolis warehouse. “This Indianapolis station is another key Midwest location for us and continues our build-up of a national CNG network,” says Bill Renz, general manager of GAIN Clean Fuel. “Not only does the location benefit Delco Foods due to its proximity to Delco's facilities, it also a great location for other regional and national carriers traveling this route.”
U.S. Oil says it currently operates 17 GAIN Clean Fuel stations and is in the process of constructing 15 more. It plans to have more than 100 of the stations operating within the next three years.
