Florida Cities Will Get A Big Dose Of Alternative Fuel Vehicles

0

Four U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities groups in Florida are collaborating to present the Alternative Fueled Vehicle Roadshow, which will make eight stops in the state between Sept. 18 and 27.

Each of the three-hour events, which are free of charge for attendees, will offer fleet managers insight about biofuel, propane, natural gas and electric vehicles. A propane-fueled truck and compressed natural gas (CNG) school bus, along with the Chevy Volt, bi-fuel Ford Fusion and Nissan Leaf, will be on hand. Also, a two-hour roundtable presentation covering these technologies will be offered in each city.

Clean Cities North Florida, Clean Cities Gold Coast, Clean Cities Tampa Bay and Clean Cities Central Florida are partnering with the Florida Public Service Commission and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Office of Energy to present the roadshow. Sponsors of the roadshow include Clean Energy Fuels, Chevrolet, CODA Automotive, the Florida Propane Gas Association, Nopetro LLC, Waste Management and Precision Alternative Fuel Conversions.
