Fleets In The Pacific Northwest Shift To Propane Vehicles

0

The City of Edmonds, Wash.; Seattle Children's Hospital; the Washington Department of Transportation; and MasterPark (Sea-Tac International Airport's largest shuttle provider) have all recently deployed propane autogas vehicles in their fleets in partnership with Alliance AutoGas, Blue Star Gas and Carburetor Connection.

MasterPark is in the process of converting eight shuttles to autogas and installing an on-site fuel station. The City of Edmonds is switching 17 vehicles to propane, including 16 Ford Crown Victoria police cruisers and a public works truck.

Blue Star Gas coordinates vehicle conversions and the installation of autogas refueling infrastructure, as well as provides training and ongoing technical support. Carburetor Connection performs autogas vehicle conversions using the bi-fuel Prins VSI system.

‘While gasoline prices continue hitting record highs on the West Coast, autogas fleets are saving $1.50 per gallon or more on autogas versus gasoline,’ says Blue Star Gas' Darren Engle.

Blue Star Gas serves markets in Washington, Oregon and California.
