Fleet-Focused Propane Autogas Workshops Planned In Texas

0

State energy agency the Texas Railroad Commission is hosting a series of workshops designed to help fleet operators pursue incentives for deploying propane autogas vehicles.

‘At these workshops, participants can ride the latest ultra-low-emission propane vehicles and talk directly with fleet managers about refueling, incentives, cost-effectiveness and availability,’ says Buddy Garcia, one of the agency's commissioners.

Grants are available in Texas to help offset the up-front cost of propane vehicles and propane refueling infrastructure. Today, 75 school districts in the state run propane-powered school buses and ‘save millions of dollars in fuel costs every year,’ notes Commissioner David Porter.

The first workshop is tomorrow in Mineola, and additional meetings are planned for Edinburg, San Antonio and Humble in November.
