Centric Sweden, a staffing and recruitment services company, is rolling out 20 bi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) Volvo V60 and V70 wagons that feature Westport technology.
Westport Sweden delivered the first eight vehicles to Stockholm-based Volvo dealership Bilia earlier this month. The remaining order is in production, and Westport anticipates delivering the remain dozen NGVs by the end of this year. Once deployed, Centric Sweden will have service support for the NGVs from Bilia's network of dealerships.
‘Momentum is building,’ says Anders Johansson, managing director of Westport Sweden. ‘With over 100 CNG fueling stations across Sweden, and attractive tax incentives, we're gaining a stronger foothold in the alternative fuel vehicle market.’
Westport builds and installs the CNG systems at Volvo's main production center in Gothenburg.
Centric Sweden's fleet previously consisted of Volkswagen Passat EcoFuel vehicles.
