CNG Stations Coming Online In Pennsylvania

New public compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling stations are being planned for Adams and York counties in Pennsylvania, mainly to serve a growing number of public transit buses that are converting to CNG.

The Evening Sun of Hanover, Pa., reports that the York Adams Transportation Authority is steadily converting its bus fleet to CNG to take advantage of low natural gas prices and to throw support behind operations in the Marcellus shale.

The York County station, which will be located at 455 N. Zarfoss Dr. in York, is expected to be online by next fall. The site of the station in Adams County has not been chosen.
