The Arkansas Economic Development Commission's Energy Office has alerted fleet managers and other interested parties that funding is still available for its compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion rebate program.
The program provides rebates of 50% of the conversion cost or the incremental cost of purchasing new CNG vehicles. These funds are provided directly to vehicle owners or fleet operators following the conversion to (or purchase of) CNG vehicles. Rebate amounts depend on the cost of the conversion or incremental cost of the vehicle, but rebates cannot exceed $25,000, the office explains.
Reservation are being accepted through January 31, and the deadline to complete the actual conversion or purchase is April 30. More information can be found HERE.
