Clean Air Power Ltd., a developer of dual-fuel natural gas systems for heavy-duty vehicles, has received a follow-on order from a major U.K.-based distribution company for 19 of its Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel systems.

The company says the trucks will be fitted with Genesis-EDGE systems at its facility in Leyland, U.K., and delivered during the first quarter. This customer already operates more than 100 Clean Air Power dual-fuel natural gas vehicles in its U.K. distribution fleet.

‘This is a significant follow-on order for our Genesis-EDGE product from this customer and adds to 28 Dual-Fuel systems that we have already delivered so far this year following orders placed in 2013,’ says John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power.

The company also notes that it has received an order for natural gas injectors from its German distributor. The injectors will be used in the manufacture of a 7.0-liter medium-duty, spark-ignited natural gas engine by a global truck manufacturer. The engine, which is suitable for use in vehicles such as buses and refuse vehicles, will be aimed at the growing Russian NGV market.
