Chevron Products Co.'s presence this week at the 2013 Mid-American Trucking Show (MATS) is heavily concentrated on the company's increasing tilt toward boosting fleets' fuel efficiency, with new products and tools being unveiled that drive greater fuel economy for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
For instance, Chevron has introduced Delo 400 XLE Synblend SAE 10W-30, a new heavy-duty motor oil that has been engineered specifically to improve fuel economy in diesel engines. Complementing that product release is the debut of a new online fuel-economy calculator that helps fleet operators and drivers determine the potential savings associated with using lower-viscosity motor oils. Company execs are also on hand to take part in a special panel session that will address natural gas engine oils.
‘Reducing operating expenses is top-of-mind for all our customers,’ says Chevron's Jim Gambill. ‘Although there are many ways to achieve this goal, improving fuel economy is one area the whole transportation industry is focused on. At MATS, we'll demonstrate our commitment to helping customers achieve their fuel economy goals.’
Chevron's Delo products are covered under the Delo Warranty Plus program, which provides bumper-to-bumper protection against lubricant- and coolant-related failures.
