Echo Automotive Inc., a company that provides technologies to give fleet vehicles hybrid electric and plug-in hybrid functionality, has joined clean transportation technologies group CALSTART.

The company's EchoDrive platform is a bolt-on technology that complements the existing powertrain in a fleet vehicle. The system includes an electric motor, inverter and battery system, as well as plug-in-charging integration.
