Bauer Compressors Inc. is planning a substantial expansion of its facilities located in Norfolk, Va., where the company currently operates offices and performs fabrication/assembly activities.
Among the company's plans are a 13,000-foot addition to the office facilities and 18,000 square feet of new space for compressor and related fabrication. Bauer's systems-assembly workspace will also receive major upgrades, according to the company.
In addition to a new powder-coat paint line, new grind and weld booths, and a new robotic panel bender, the expanded facility will host an equipment testing and evaluation center that will support Bauer's product development work and offer extensive on-site reliability-testing capabilities.
Bauer provides a range of compressor solutions for compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling needs.
