Azure Dynamics Corp., which specializes in electric powertrain systems for commercial vehicles, says it has sold 45 new Ford Transit Connect Electric models, including 20 units in Europe and 25 units in North America.
‘With these new orders, our global Transit Connect Electric sales exceed $32 million in less than 12 months of production,’ says Scott Harrison, Azure's CEO. ‘Our network of over 160 Ford dealers globally continues to drive our sales growth.’
Among the deliveries, six of the electric vehicles were sold to the General Services Administration via Northside Ford in San Antonio, Texas, and four units went to Verizon. Norwich Public Utilities (Connecticut) bought an Azure EV through Interstate Ford in Hartford, and the City of Hamilton, Ontario, also purchased one unit.
