Argos USA, a cement and ready-mixed concrete company, has taken delivery of 40 McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing Inc. Bridgemaster ready-mix trucks with compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems.
Half of these trucks are in service in Argos' operations in Houston, and half are in the Dallas market. They all use McNeilus' Next Generation (NGEN) CNG systems (60 DGE of capacity), which are engineered and tested by the company.
‘We are exploring options to expand our CNG fleet and are vetting other metropolitan markets where we compete,’ says Daryl Mizell, Argos USA's sourcing manager. ‘I believe CNG will be well-received anywhere we go.’
To support the new NGVs, Argos is building private CNG refueling facilities in Houston and Dallas – each of which will feature 25 fueling posts. TruStar Energy is constructing these stations for Argos.
