American Power Group Inc. (APG) says the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TECQ) has approved its dual-fuel natural gas vehicle conversion technology for eligibility in the state's Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants Program, covering more than 400 heavy-duty engine families.
APG's dual-fuel systems are approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for integration into a large spectrum of engines for Class 8 trucks, including models from Cummins, Daimler, Detroit Diesel, Mack and Volvo.
‘We are seeing more and more state and federal emission reduction and alternative fuel programs acknowledge the benefits of EPA-approved dual fuel conversion systems by inclusion in their incentive eligibility definitions,’ says Lyle Jensen, CEO of APG.
The ERIG Program offers fleets grant funding for the replacement, repower or retrofit of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
