U.S. Oil has completed the second of five CNG stations that it is building for Core-Mark, one of the largest consumer-goods distributors and marketers in North America.
This new station, located at 3400 Commerce Dr. in Forrest City, Ark., is a public-access, fast-fill facility under the GAIN Clean Fuel brand. U.S. Oil says the site is projected to supply 400,000 DGE of fuel in the next year.
Core-Mark will be the anchor fleet of the Forrest City station. The company already has nearly 150 CNG tractors on the road, with another 60 trucks anticipated to be deployed by mid-2015. Also, three more GAIN Clean Fuel stations will be coming online to support Core-Mark's NGV: sites in Sanford, N.C.; Smyrna, Ga.; and Tampa, Fla.
For its part, U.S. Oil plans to have more than 100 GAIN Clean Fuel stations operating within the next three years.
