3PL Provider Fueling Heavy-Duty Fleet at New Ohio CNG Station

FST Logistics, a company focused on the warehousing and transportation of temperature-sensitive and other high-touch goods, has cut the ribbon on a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station developed in partnership with U.S. Oil.

This GAIN Clean Fuel branded facility – located in Hilliard, Ohio, near I-70 and I-270 – is a public-access station that features two dual-hose fast-fill dispensers. CESO Inc., an Ohio-based consulting, engineering and development firm, led the construction of the facility.

FST Logistics recently deployed its initial complement of CNG-powered heavy-duty trucks and will serve as the new station's anchor fleet. The facility is anticipated to supply about 300,000 DGE of CNG in its first full year of operation.

‘Our research showed this was the ideal location for us – we can tap into the major natural gas supplier in Columbus, and the bulk of our trucks run through or very near this location on a daily basis,’ says Dave Kent, president of FST Logistics. ‘As we look toward future expansion, we feel very comfortable going 100 percent CNG.’

Bill Renz, general manager for GAIN Clean Fuels, notes that this is the company's 17th CNG station.
