Company Develops Low-Pressure Direct-Injection System for CNG, Autogas Conversions

Crazy Diamond Performance Inc. (CDP), a Michigan-based start-up that focuses on alternative-fuel and performance engine technologies, says it has engineered and is now testing a proprietary gaseous-fuels direct-injection system.

According to the company, this patent pending low-pressure direct-injection (LPDI) technology is designed to convert various engine platforms to run on compressed natural gas (CNG), propane autogas or other gaseous fuels.

‘Without having the added complexity of high-pressure injection or needing to revert back to port injection, the LPDI method can satisfy current OEM engine technology,’ the company says.

Details about the system can be obtained by calling (586) 884-6935 or sending an email to Kevin Fern, president of CDP, at kevinfern@crazydiamondperformance.com.
