Hino Trucks says a new double cab option for its model 195 Class 5 cab-over truck will be available beginning in June. The model-year 2014 vehicles are offered in both a diesel (195DC) and diesel-electric hybrid (195h-DC) configuration.
Designed on a 19,500 lb. GVW chassis, the four-door, six-person double cab has an optional magnetic suspension seat, the company says. The diesel powertrain is a 5-liter engine rated at 210 hp/440 lb-ft of torque, paired with Aisin's A465 six-speed automatic transmission. The diesel-electric hybrid model 195h recently won ATD's 2013 Medium Duty Commercial Truck of the Year award.
“Since the introduction of Hino's model into the market last year, we have seen tremendous acceptance of our sixth-generation hybrid system,” says Glenn Ellis, vice president of marketing and dealer operations for Hino Trucks.
The company notes that the new trucks are offered with a three-year HinoWatch roadside assistance program and five-year/175,000-mile engine and transmission warranty.
