World CNG says it has achieved certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for compressed natural gas (CNG) conversions on Chrysler Group's Ram ProMaster vans.
The certification covers model-year 2014/2015 dedicated CNG conversions on ProMasters with 3.6-liter, 280-hp Pentastar engines. World CNG says its systems feature direct reprogramming of the factory engine control unit.
‘We are excited to expand our product offerings for Chrysler Corp. vehicles, including the ProMaster, after our success with our EPA-certified Chrysler minivans,’ says Garret Alpers, CEO of World CNG. ‘The ProMaster features the same 3.6-liter V6 engine that has already been proven reliable in livery minivan fleets – many of which are approaching 100,000 miles.’
The World CNG conversions are available with different CNG tank configurations, up to 32 GGE and 400 miles of range. The company offers a three-year/100,000-mile warranty that covers all parts included in the CNG conversion system, as well as labor.
The cargo version of the ProMaster 3500 will be on display this week during the ACT Expo in Long Beach, Calif. For more information, call (206) 938-7812 or email sales@worldcng.com.
