Work Truck Show Will Feature Special Propane Vehicle Ride-and-Drive

0

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is sponsoring a special standalone propane autogas vehicle test-drive event during the upcoming NTEA Green Truck Summit and Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

This ride-and-drive will kick off at noon on Tues., March 4, and continue through Thurs., March 6, outside the Maryland Motor Lobby at the Indianapolis Convention Center. All Green Truck Summit and Work Truck Show attendees can participate in the ride-and-drive.

PERC says this special program was prompted largely by solid growth in the propane vehicle sector in 2013, coupled with the availability of new propane-powered vehicle platforms from OEMs and conversion companies. In Indianapolis, various vehicles will be available, from light-duty trucks to Class 5 and 6 medium-duty assets. Participants include Ford QVM ROUSH CleanTech, ICOM North America, GM, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., CleanFuel USA and Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc.

Manufacturers and PERC representatives will also be on hand to demonstrate autogas vehicle refueling.
