On Tuesday, March 19, at its new Kentucky Integration Center in Louisville, Westport Innovations is hosting a special ‘Natural Gas Now’ event that will focus on providing useful background info related to natural gas vehicles and refueling infrastructure.
Convening just prior to the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), which kicks off at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville on March 21, Westport's event will feature an open house and facility tours, an educational session and a ride-and-drive. A range of Westport-powered natural gas vehicles will be on hand, from Ford Super-Duty trucks to Class 8 rigs.
The panel session will feature Westport CEO David Demers and executive vice president Ian Scott, who will discuss NGV trends and technologies from a high level. James Harger, chief marketing officer of Clean Energy Fuels, will focus on natural gas refueling, and Lynn Lyon, manager of strategic projects for Pioneer Natural Resources, will discuss her own fleet's experience with NGVs.
The event begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. MATS attendees who are staying at hotels in downtown Louisville can take advantage of shuttles that Westport is coordinating.
