A number of Wisconsin-based organizations have teamed up to form Wisconsin Wins With Natural Gas Vehicles, a new coalition that will support various strategies designed to increase the use of natural gas as a vehicle fuel.
Nine entities came together as founding members of the coalition:
- Alliant Energy
- Kwik Trip Inc.
- Madison Gas and Electric
- Trillium CNG
- Wisconsin Beer Distributors Association
- Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association
- Wisconsin Public Service
- U.S. Venture Inc.
- Xcel Energy
‘We've seen the impact that state incentives can have on helping fleets make the switch, and we are excited to expand the fueling infrastructure,’ says John Schmidt, CEO and president of U.S. Venture Inc., whose U.S. Oil subsidiary develops GAIN Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling stations.
Membership in Wisconsin Wins With Natural Gas Vehicles is open to businesses and organizations that share the coalition's mission of helping the state achieve its alternative fuel goals by recommending programs that will help grow the emerging market for natural gas vehicles.
