On April 18, the Petersen Automotive Museum is presenting a program entitled ‘Why Alt Fuels Now’ that will offer both fleets and the public insight about how alternative fuels are being integrated into transportation applications today. The Los Angeles-based museum is holding the event from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on site, at 6060 Wilshire Blvd.

‘To stay relevant in the ever-changing automotive industry, we host programs, lectures and workshops that speak to the current and future state of the automobile in America and the world,’ says Clayton Drescher, education manager at the Petersen. ‘To that end, we are putting together this alternative fuel symposium, which we plan to make an annual event. Alternative fuel is gaining popularity among fleets and individuals alike, and we aim to be a vital educational resource for the public.’

Panel sessions will address various topics, such as alt-fuel vehicles, refueling infrastructure and regulations/policy. Companies scheduled to make presentations include Venchurs CNG, ROUSH CleanTech, Chrysler, Ford, Honda and 3M.
