Siemens has donated a 14-passenger hybrid shuttle bus to the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Metro Atlanta.
The Azure Dynamics hybrid-electric bus features Siemens ELFA technology, which drives the vehicle and transfers braking energy back into the battery through the hybrid electric powertrain.
‘We are delighted to support the Chattahoochee Nature Center to reach its goals to strengthen the environmental stewardship within the community,’ says Thomas Orberger, Siemens business manager for hybrid drives in North America.
Siemens notes it also donated an all-electric van to Lambert High School in Forsyth County, Ga., last year.
