Amsa S.p.A., a provider of street cleaning and waste management services in Milan, Italy, will be taking delivery of 100 new compressed natural gas (CNG) refuse trucks from Scania.
Scania will fulfill the contract, which also includes the supply of 100 diesel-powered heavy-duty vehicles, over the next two years. The company is working with its body-building partner, Farid Industrie, to design the rear-loader trucks.
The vehicles will be three-axle Scania P-series trucks powered by nine-litre 250 or 280 hp engines. The trucks are covered by service contracts through Scania's workshop network.
