Blue Bird Corp., a manufacturer of school buses, recently bestowed propane autogas technology specialist ROUSH CleanTech with its 2013 Supplier of the Year award.
Michigan-based ROUSH CleanTech supplies Blue Bird with propane autogas fuel systems and tanks for its propane-powered Vision and Micro Bird G5 buses. Both the full-size Vision and the Micro Bird (which can be configured to seat up to 30 passengers) pair ROUSH CleanTech's autogas technology with Ford's 6.8-liter engine.
‘Together, Blue Bird and ROUSH CleanTech have successfully provided school buses fueled by economical, clean, American-made propane autogas,’ says Joe Thompson, president of ROUSH CleanTech. ‘It's been our privilege to be Blue Bird's partner, and we are honored to receive this year's Supplier of the Year award.’
ROUSH CleanTech was selected for the award from a wide body of Blue Bird suppliers, which includes major companies such as Cummins Inc., Ford Component Sales and Allison Transmission (all of which were among those selected for Blue Bird's ‘Outstanding Supplier Award’).
