Refuse and recycling company Republic Services Inc. has deployed 56 new heavy-duty trucks that run on compressed natural gas (CNG) in Fall River, Mass., to serve customers throughout the South Shore and South Coast of Massachusetts and in Rhode Island.
Republic says it also installed a natural gas refueling station to support its new fleet of CNG-powered trucks in Fall River. These trucks will refuel during non-peak hours via time-fill refueling technology.
Overall, Republic operates a fleet of more than 1,400 CNG vehicles and 26 natural gas fueling stations nationwide.
