Republic Services Inc. has rolled out 107 new heavy-duty solid waste and recycling trucks that run on compressed natural gas (CNG) to serve customers in Anaheim, Calif., and throughout Orange County.
The company, which operates more than 1,400 CNG vehicles nationwide, also installed a time-fill natural gas refueling station in Anaheim to support its new Orange County fleet. This CNG station brings the company's total to 26 facilities.
Republic Services adds that half of all the vehicles the company purchased in 2013 are powered by natural gas.
