Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. says it has received a $3.8 million purchase order from a global natural gas vehicle engine and systems developer for the supply of Quantum's ultra-lightweight carbon composite compressed natural gas (CNG) storage tanks for a high-volume light-duty fleet pickup truck platform.
The new CNG pickup trucks will offer an extended range enabled by Quantum's storage system on a platform that meets or exceeds OEM performance and durability standards, the company says. The trucks will be sold to fleet managers through authorized dealers and distributors
