Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. says it has received an initial order from ‘one of the nation's largest private food distributors’ for its Q-RailLITE and Q-CabLITE compressed natural gas (CNG) storage systems.
‘We are developing relationships within new market segments that have initiated a shift away from diesel fuel, despite recent changes in diesel pricing, to take advantage of the return on investment of CNG storage systems,’ says Brian Olson, CEO and president of Quantum.
Quantum's Q-RailLITE and Q-CabLITE CNG storage modules are integrated CNG fuel systems for heavy-duty truck applications. The Q-RailLITE system is installed on the traditional open rail space on a vehicle, while the Q-CabLITE system is installed behind the cab.
