Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. says it will be fulfilling a ‘significant order’ for its Q-Lite compressed natural gas (CNG) storage tanks for a Canada-based customer.
‘We expect this initial order will lead to expanded tank orders for the Canadian market,’ says Brian Olson, Quantum's president and CEO. ‘We are excited to be making further inroads into the Canadian marketplace.’
The company says the tanks, which will be integrated into light-duty trucks, are certified for use in Canada. The proprietary, ultra-lightweight Q-Lite technology offers ‘superior fuel storage capacity, enhanced safety features and the capability to be quickly integrated onto vehicles,’ Quantum says.
