Liberty Electric Cars, a subsidiary of Green Automotive Co., says its has completed the prototype of the DELIVER, a light-duty all-electric delivery vehicle designed for commercial fleet applications.

The vehicle, which began development in November 2011, has a GVW of 2,200 kg (~4,850 lbs.) and can handle a payload of about 700 kg (~1,540 lbs.). The DELIVER's minimum driving range is approximately 60 miles, making it particularly suitable for urban postal, parcel, supermarket and similar applications.

Liberty Electric Cars notes that an extended testing phase on the test tracks at the Aldenhoven Testing Center, RWTH Aachen University's new testing ground, enabled the project partners to analyze performance indicators such as energy efficiency, dynamic and static structural performance, and vehicle range.

The DELIVER will premier Premiere at the FISITA World Automotive Congress in the Netherlands next week.
