Wrightspeed Inc., a company that focuses on powertrain solutions for fleet vehicles, has made three executive appointments: Jonathan Randall as vice president of sales and marketing, Pete Patel as vice president of operations and David Wagenseller as chief financial officer.
Prior to joining Wrightspeed, Randall held executive sales, marketing and operations management positions with Idealease Inc., Daimler Trucks North America, Freightliner Custom Chassis and Blue Bird Corp.
Patel has experience as a Silicon Valley manufacturing and supply-chain executive, having worked for both start-ups and public companies. He will focus on the implementation of Wrighspeed's $5.8 million facilities and manufacturing grant from the California Energy Commission.
Wagenseller previously worked at Network Equipment Technology (NET), now Sonus, where he became acting president and CEO. He joined that company in 1986.
Wrightspeed, which was established by Tesla Motors co-founder Ian Wright, is primarily focused on The Route: its retrofit powertrain for medium-duty commercial fleet trucks that uses electric-drive technology paired with an onboard range-extending generator.
