PepsiCo's Frito-Lay North America division is deploying eight new all-electric delivery trucks in its Boston fleet. Smith Electric is supplying the company with its Newton medium-duty commercial vehicles.
Frito Lay has worked with the Massachusetts Clean Cities Coalition to roll out the vehicles. The coalition is a part of a nationwide program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy that focuses on promoting the adoption of alternative fuel vehicles and related infrastructure.
